The Bose SL2 wireless speaker surround link offers a solution for the most common problem of a home theater setup which is... how to hookup the rear surround speakers—without making any holes in  walls or tearing up the baseboards or flooring or maybe carpeting a room just to hide the wires.

First of all we all know of the quality of most of the Bose products, and this high tech transmitter/receiver wireless system eliminates the typical wiring from the front part of the room to connecting it’s rear speakers. This great idea  eliminates the grouping of wires that could compromise any room's decor. And you can leave the tools in the garage for another project. Amazingly enought, the SL2 wireless link system incorporates its own proprietary wireless technology to deliver the same high quality of a fully wired Bose home entertainment system. You will experience all the unique qualities of surround sound, avoiding all the wiring issues.

This quality wireless receiver and the transmitter work on a radio frequency signal which has an effective range up to 30 feet in the room you hook it up in. The idea is that you can hide them from view without worrying about it’s audio transmission signal not working. Another great feature is it’s setup is quick and easy with it’s color-coded connections. It makes it so easy to just match the colors on the wires to the colors on the units. Then you  connect the transmitter to your Acoustimass module, and the receiver to your rear surround speakers. Then both units plug into a wall outlet providing constant power for the units.

An important note: The SL2 wireless surround link system is compatible with all Bose Lifestyle systems and all 5.1-channel Acoustimass home entertainment systems.

Bose AL8 Wireless Audio Link
Another option and easy way to expand your Bose Lifestyle® audio system to other rooms in the house. This transmitter and receiver components provide two independent audio streams from your system to Bose link-enabled speakers in another room. This is again not needing to run or hide wiring from room-to-room. Wherever you place your speakers, you'll have the wireless sound system with you.
A connection from the transmitter to your Lifestyle system puts out the signal for a house full of sound. All you have to do is connect the receiver to a another-rooms speaker. You'll also receive audio from any components such as iPod or other music player that is connected to your Lifestyle system.

The key ingredient for this wireless home audio setup is a proprietary Free Field  built in circuitry. It allows the Bose AL8 to work with efficientency while competing possibly with signals from your cordless phones, wireless Internet connections and other wireless device signals. This helps deliver quality sound throughout the home, without interruption, and with little to no transmission interference. This also virtually eliminates an echo effect  that may be heard when a wireless signal plays back at a much later time than it’s original.
The receiver and transmitter work through most floors and walls and operate up to 80' away. You can also add AR1 receivers (a separate purchase) that can be placed in seven additional locations and  receive wireless audio sound from one AL8 transmitter.

The Bose link AL8 system is compatible with the Lifestyle  48, 38, 35 II, 28 II and 18 II systems.

The Bose link AR1 audio wireless receiver works with the AL8 wireless transmitter connected to your Lifestyle® DVD system. This individual AR1 receiver will receive sound in yet another listening area.
